I LOVE Bank Holiday Pay!! I'm on, like, 20 quid an hour!! Did Duty Obs again for an hour - spent half the time sewing a white collar and cuffs from a white shirt onto my black shirt for my Magenta costume for Saturday. Got home from work 'round 6:30am. Was in bed by 8am.
Woke up at 1pm, showered, got all my stuff together and went to Mother's at 3:30pm.
Sis and I got ready, took photos and left for the theatre at about 5:15pm.
I did my make-up and nails EXACTLY like Magenta in the movie - purple/burgundy eyeshadow, black eyeliner/brows, white face, red lips and nails...and my maid's outfit was pretty much accurate too. Had fishnet stockings and big chunky boots on and back-combed my hair right out at the sides after crimping. Looked fantastic hehe. Sis wore much the same, 'cept her makeup wasn't as heavy with the white and eyeliner. Might scan some piccies when I get them.
The show itself was really really good. Some people were doing *most* of the audience participation. Lots of rice and water pistols too...but they forgot "Beam us up!!" after Frank shouts "Scotty!!". I was the only one who yelled it lol!!
Frank was good, but took me a while to warm to him tho...a bit too pantomime dame rather than tranny to start but he improved. I don't think he was at full energy to start with...but being an actor myself, I think I'm overly critical heh. Dr Scott was hysterical!! He looked like Professor Weeto, and was on helium or something!! Rocky had good muscle tone - but facially/hair looked like 'H' from 'Steps'. Ewww!!!
The show finished 'round 8:30ish so me and my sis went to The Bank (pub) and drank too much till 11:15pm when we snuck backstage to get autographs. Got photos of me and my sis with Jonathan Wilkes (Frank) and got my program signed. Fell into a taxi at midnight and went to mum's. Then had fishfingers and beans in the kitchen while we watched 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' on video. Slept on sis's futon upstairs.
